Mobile & Online Bill Pay

Pay bills from one convenient place in eBranch Mobile & Online Banking. Add payees, schedule one-time or recurring payments, and keep track of payment activity from your checking account.

How to Make a Loan Payment in eBranch

Bill Pay is built into eBranch and helps you manage everyday bill payments in one place. You can add payees, schedule payments, view payment history, edit pending payments, and manage recurring payment schedules.

Payments can only be sent from an ICCU checking account and are intended for domestic payments only. Depending on the payee, payments may be delivered electronically or by check.

How to Enroll in Bill Pay

Enroll in Bill Pay through eBranch Mobile & Online Banking so you can start managing bills from one convenient place.

  1. Sign into eBranch
  2. Go to Transfer & Pay > Bill Pay.
  3. Accept the Bill Pay terms and conditions.
  4. Return after access has been activated to start adding payees and scheduling payments.

Bill Pay access is not immediate. Access is typically granted in 7–14 days to help reduce fraudulent activity. After access is granted, you may need to sign in again and accept the Bill Pay disclosure before you begin using the service.

If you are not enrolled in eBranch yet, start there first.

What You Can Do with Bill Pay

Bill Pay is designed to help you manage both one-time and recurring bills from one place.

Add and Manage Payees

You can add a new payee, view payee details, and delete or inactivate payees from the Bill Pay dashboard. If a payee needs a different address immediately and the current listing cannot be updated right away, the payee may need to be deleted and added again.

You can pay an existing payee, schedule one-time payments, and change the frequency of future payments. If you want to add a note for the payee, use the memo line when scheduling the payment.

Bill Pay lets you review payment history, view payment details, and edit pending payments. Members can access up to 3 months of Bill Pay history directly in Bill Pay.

When setting up certain payees, Bill Pay can use one of several delivery methods:

  • Check for mailed paper payments.
  • Electronic for payments using account and routing information.
  • SMS/Text when sending a payment using the recipient’s phone number and a shared secret.
  • Email when sending a payment using the recipient’s email address and a shared secret.

How Payment Dates Work

Each Bill Pay payment includes a Process Date and a Deliver By Date. The Process Date is when funds are withdrawn from your account, and the Deliver By Date is when the payment is expected to reach the payee. These dates are shown when you schedule the payment.

Payment timing depends on how the payment is sent. Electronic payments are generally withdrawn 1 business day before delivery, while check payments are generally withdrawn 5 business days before delivery.

Some check payments may be eligible for expedited delivery for a fee, but ACH payments cannot be expedited. For next-day electronic payments, the request must be submitted before 12:30 p.m. Mountain Time and the payee must already be set up for electronic payments.

Cancel or Stop a Bill Payment

If a Bill Pay payment is still pending, you may be able to cancel it in Bill Pay before it begins processing. Open the payment details and look for the option to cancel the payment or cancel the payment series if it is recurring.

If you need to stop a Bill Pay payment after it has been scheduled, contact ICCU for help. Electronic payments can be stopped on or before the Process Date. Check payments can be stopped until the check has been deposited or cleared.

Once a payment has been sent electronically or a Bill Pay check has cleared, ICCU cannot stop or reverse it. If you need a refund after that, you will need to work directly with the payee.
